Sometimes everything goes to hell. Or maybe you just didn’t get enough sleep. Whatever the reason, you’re in an awful, pessimistic, angry, bitter mood.
If you can watch any or all of these videos and not feel a little bit better about yourself, or for that matter, the fate of the human race, let me know… I don’t think it’s possible.
Dancing Matt
This video is one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. The world can be a depressing place, but Matt Harding makes it a little easier to believe that we all have more in common that it seems. I don’t know how anyone can watch this and not feel a little bit more hopeful about the world.
“Jessica’s Daily Affirmation”
I have no idea who this girl is, but the video is adorable and I wish I always had her go-get-it, super-positive outlook. I can’t watch this video and not smile.
“On a Good Day” Fan Video
Above and Beyond invited fans to create their own video for their catchy song, “On a Good Day.” The resulting compilation is an eclectic mix of goofy dancing, hot chicks, roller coasters, sky diving, sea turtles, people hopping up and down, kids blowing out birthday candles, and chunky guys diving into swimming pools. All of it makes for an affirming, cheesy, happy celebration of the key line from the song’s chorus: “it feels like me on a good day” (The best stuff starts at around the 1:20 mark)
Baby hears his mother’s voice for the first time
This baby gets a Cochlear implant turned on and hears his mom’s voice for the first time. A pretty amazing moment captured on video. I’m aware that there is some controversy regarding this procedure, but with all due respect, I think the child’s expression speaks for itself.
