The paragraphs change after I “send”. Every one tells me what to do but not how to do it.
I’m particular about how my paragraphs look so
could someone help an 82 year old browser!

Thanks Ravi…. I agree with you… HTML emails aren’t for everyone or every project. At times, I don’t think they’re worth the bother. But a lot of clients tend to still ask for them, which is why I’ve tried to continue to figure out the best way to deliver them…

Thanks for this – a good list with straightforward advice. HTML emails have their pros and cons; I actually prefer just plain text emails which don’t take forever to load or need me to click another button just to view them; but then again the potential for high-click through HTMLs email is high.

I’m not really sure that it matters. Most email clients will strip out everything above the BODY tag from your original. To my knowledge, all email clients re-interpret the HTML for their own rendering engine, some much better than others. Outlook and Gmail are pretty bad. Hotmail and Yahoo Mail are a lot better. But for the most post part, I think the doctype will get scrambled either way. This might be useful to you as a resource: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/css/
