Web Ad: The Right Wing Menace

Design Challenge: People for the American Way was building a broad campaign fighting to preserve the Senate filibuster as a safeguard against “one-party” rule. They had a lot of ominous, heavy emails and messaging on the topic and wanted some web ads that made the same essential point, but with a little more humor.

Solution: I developed a concept of a “Right-Wing Menace” as not something out of an old B-movie and created an animated web ad that picked up on the style and tone of those old Sci-Fi thrillers, while still delivering the core message about the stakes in place in Washington and providing links for viewers to get more information or get involved.
